Dwarf Siren - The Dwarf Siren is a permanently aquatic salmander which posseses external gills and lacks both rear legs and pelvic girdle. The Dwarf Siren has three toes on each forelimb and retains a striped color pattern throughout its life. The maximum length of the Dwarf Siren is 215.7 mm (8.5 in). These amphibians are found to occur in stagnant bogs, drainage ditches, and smaller floodplain lakes. Dwarf Sirens feed on small worms and small invertebrates.
